Photo Sessions Workshop - Course Dates and Outline

Four weeknights in June - dates to be confirmed

Session Challenges:

• Cycling event We plan to visit a bicycle criterion race to cover shooting sports events and start building some creative possibilities.
• Cycling event We cover more cycling to master the creative possibilities available with motion.
• Creative Motion We cover more sports and explore more creative elements motion.
• Critique session We will meet in a central Ottawa classroom session with an opportunity to view a small sample of students work.

These events are rain or shine! We will work the agenda to fit the weather - the agenda may change to maximize possibilities.

Registration Details

Course Instructor: Harry Nowell is a photographer working as Harry Nowell Photography Inc., licensed by two leading stock photography agencies. View Harry's photography portfolio for more details.

Course Outlines: These photo sessions are structured loosely to take advantage of weather, opportunities and events. Opportunities and weather may cause changes!

Participant Requirements: Students are required to bring a 35 mm SLR digital or film camera with a manual setting - no point and shoot, please. Also, students should bring lens(es) that offer some wide angle (< 50 mm) and telephoto (>70 mm) capability. Zoom lenses are fine. A tripod, cable release, and slide film (if needed) round out your camera bag.
